tRackIT Systems is an environmental service provider that offers digital solutions for the respective recording season in nature conservation projects, scientific studies and species recording as part of intervention procedures. The offer includes consulting on survey design, the provision of receiver units for data acquisition (acoustic data, VHF signals), the processing of this data on the devices (e.g. bird call detection), the real-time transfer and graphical processing of the data on customer-specific cloud servers and their final evaluation.

The Michael Otto Institute at NABU is investigating survival rates, causes of loss and space utilization of oystercatcher chicks on the North Sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein in order to develop conservation measures for an endangered shorebird species. We have been using the tRackIT system since 2022. This system has already proven itself during two field seasons under difficult external conditions and provided data in a density that would not have been possible without this system. Based on these positive experiences, we are planning to use the tRackIT system for further shorebird and meadowbird conservation projects.
By using the tRackIT system, Enviro-Plan can collect site-specific telemetry data in higher resolution and over the entire transmission time of an animal - with less manpower and less night work. The operating software is user-friendly and application-oriented. In the event of technical problems, the very friendly tRackIT team is quickly available and finds solutions. In our experience, the systems are stable and reliable. We can recommend them with a clear conscience!

The stationary telemetry system from tRackIT is quick to set up and calibrate and ran without any errors throughout. The “live insight” into the current situation of the transmitter animals, which is possible at any time, is a particular advantage of this system on several levels. Questions about the system were always answered constructively and quickly. The delivered results / evaluations were very helpful in answering the project-related core question.

Workshop | 31.10.2024
Our November workshop at the Donnerskopf
From October 28 to 31, our workshop took place at the Donnerskopf Scout Center, where participants were able to learn about the latest developments and technologies from trackIT Systems. In practice-oriented sessions, topics such as the AI-supported detection of birds and bats, the use of the EcoHub Field App, the use of the tRackIT system for position determination and the evaluation of radiotracking data were presented. There was also room to exchange ideas and discuss the scientific use of our extensive data.
